Electronic Fuel Injection Control System

The electronic fuel injection control system is a computer-based control system. It is used to regulate the amount of fuel that is injected into a combustion chamber. The device can be analog or digital. The digital version is preferred because it is immune to noise signals. A pulse generator generates a series of operating pulses to open or close the injection means. The second signal comes from a counter. The counter is preset to the time that is desired to inject fuel into the cylinder.

The electronic fuel injection control system includes a series of pumps. The pump provides fuel under constant pressure. The quantity of fuel is calculated according to the lift of the nozzle needle and the corresponding injector pressure. A microcomputer controls the entire process. It is a highly advanced computer system. For optimal performance, this system is used in engines with a multi-chamber design. This design makes it possible to make adjustments to the injection time and amount, without any loss of performance.

Once the engine has been started, the pump's feedback signal is input into the microcomputer. This signal is multiplied by the COEF and correction coefficients and is then written to the injection time register. The result is the air-fuel ratio in the cylinder. When the engine has been started, the signal is filtered and converted into a square wave signal. Depending on the amount of fuel and the amount of incoming fuel, the pump's pulsation rate is determined.

The electronic fuel injection control system has several variations. The sequential model includes multiple cylinders. The sequential system is a single-cylinder unit. The ethanol and other compounds in the cylinder are mixed together and analyzed for the proper ratio of air and fuel. Hence, this type of engine has more benefits than disadvantages. A sequential ignition system is the best option. A faulty electronic spark plug will not cause an engine to run.

The electronic fuel injection control system is a multi-functional device that allows the vehicle to run smoothly. The system regulates the amount of fuel that is injected into the cylinder during each operating cycle. The regulating means are in the form of a microcomputer. The controller is used to regulate the volume of fuel that is injected through the nozzle. The computerized device may also have a digital sequencer or a microprocessor.

The electronic fuel injection control system works by supplying the appropriate amount of fuel to the engine at the right time. The result is a lower unburned fuel level in the exhaust, which minimizes the amount of pollution. Its electronic fuel injection control system also improves the efficiency of the engine by optimizing the distribution of the fuel. This device allows vehicles to run on lower volatile fuels without concern for their emissions. It is important to know that the EFI system controls the fuel in a vehicle's cylinders, not the other way around.
